Scary. They write well and with authority on the subject. Giacovazzo and co-authors.. I'm also an animal lover, so the fact that one of the main characters is a talking lion, I'll be there, sitting in the front row. Couldn't recommend it more!!!!. Being a afficionado of fantasy which developes a world to a deliciously excruciating level of detail (as with my all-time favorite author J. Just when Downton Abbey made us think that the last word had been said about the English class system, Fellowes plunges us back into Vanity Fair territory. A few hellish moments- a rat chewing on a German corpse, Lt.Vaughn's sharing a shellhole with a rotting corpse for a half-day, Vaughn dropping his well-earned steak in three feet of trench mud, nervous men revealing that they felt a little "windy". Just this summer I met PCT volunteers busy clearing literally hundreds of downed trees from the trails around Devil's Postpile National Monument. Bartleby of the Mighty Mississippi was a great book.
